About Me

Meet Linda Stewart, LCSW, LCADC, a psychotherapist and the founder of
Mindful Way Psychotherapy

My approach is gentle, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that healing happens when we feel seen and supported. I integrate mindfulness, EMDR, and compassion-based practices to help clients reconnect with their inner resilience and sense of wholeness. I strive to create a space where you can exhale, be yourself, and explore your experiences at your own pace. My work is guided by the understanding that every person carries inner wisdom and strength. I’m here to help you rediscover that path.

Professional Background

I am a licensed clinical social worker and licensed alcohol and drug counselor with over 20 years of experience walking alongside people on their healing journeys. My work is rooted in mindfulness, nervous system awareness, and a compassionate understanding of how life experiences shape the body, mind, and heart.

I am trained in EMDR and other trauma-focused therapies, and I integrate somatic awareness, parts-based work, and compassion-based practices into sessions. Much of my clinical experience has been with individuals healing from complex trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, shame, and relational wounds. I pay close attention to pacing and nervous system regulation, honoring the wisdom of the body as an essential part of the healing process.

In addition to clinical work, I serve as a university educator, teaching courses on the DSM-5-TR, ethics and boundaries, clinical practice, and advocacy in social work. Teaching allows me to stay grounded in both the science of healing and the relational heart of psychotherapy.

I believe therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about reconnecting with the parts of ourselves that learned to survive. Healing unfolds when people feel safe enough to be curious about their inner world and supported enough to move gently toward change.

Therapy provides a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges. It helps you understand yourself more deeply, develop healthier coping strategies, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. You don’t have to do it alone—healing starts here.
